Birthdayyy!

As of today I am no longer 21, and officially 22. It amazes me that even after all these years I still get pretty excited for my birthday. Not necessarily the build up to it, but the opening of the presents and the general "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY, YAY!".
Presents opened, now it's time to get on with the rest of my day. Me and the best friend are going into London later for a bit of possible shopping and then dinner and then we're seeing The Wizard of Oz at the theatre. A very adult like birthday.

Oh and whilst i'm here; happy birthday to Mr Ryan Gosling...the babe!

My velvet crush

It would seem that this crush of mine has snuck up on me; I never imagined myself falling for the "too good not to stroke" fabric. It doesn't help that my crush has been subject to usage by my Mecca, Topshop! It's been used on many a dresses, bags and a whole bucket load of shoes. Everyone of them I just can't help but stroke. Velvet; why are you so smooth?!
I suppose, on the run up to Christmas, an overdose of velvet isn't really a bad thing. Unless of course it's dark green or red...nobody wants to blend in with the Christmas tree! But, a little bit of purple, or black, or even hot pink makes for a perfect touch of luxury.
And so, without looking like a curtain from the 16th century, I will embrace this crush and get as much velvet in my wardrobe as possible. And then sit at lust over it's beauty.

Snapshots.

Oh yes, and I occasionally take pictures of things I have a soft spot for. Recently it's been wildlife and the countryside. It changes regularly.

Peek-a-boo!

Okay, first point of call; my fringe! Possibly a pretty vain way to start things, but it's something that needs to be addressed. Fringes are the bane of my life. Mind you, getting my hair just the way I like it is pretty bloody hard, so a stubborn fringe doesn't help.
I'm too easily swayed by the likes of the beautiful Zooey Deschanel and Florence Welch; both have the perfect fringe. So when I decide to chop my hair into what I imagine will be just as beautiful as theirs, I'm suitably unimpressed by the result. And now I have the joy of trying to grow out this block of hair that sits mocking me and my attempts.

*Warning: there will be quite a few "I hate my hair" posts to come...sorry!*

Third time lucky

In the space of about two years I've danced around this site trying create a blog that I'm happy with and actually want people to look at. After giving up on it numerous times, I've decided to give it one last chance. This time around I will make my blog work. I'll become the next best blogger! Okay, probably not. But there's no harm in hoping!

I'm in a place in my life where I've become more confident in sharing my true side, and not sharing things that I think people want to see. So, what better time to dust off my Blogger account and give it a reboot!

No doubt my start will be a bit shaky, but this time around I'm sticking to it....here goes nothing!
